Dive Against Debris - $150

The Dive Against Debris® Diver Specialty course teaches you how removing ocean plastic and trash helps keep your local dive sites healthy, while contributing valuable data to a global marine debris database. Guided by your instructor, you’ll participate in a Dive Against Debris survey and turn your passion for the underwater world into impactful conservation action.


    • Which debris should and shouldn’t be removed from the ocean

    • How to conduct a survey by sorting, recording, and reporting the marine debris you collect

    • How to contribute to the PADI AWARE Foundation’s global database on marine debris

    • Prerequisites: PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, PADI Freediver™, or PADI Advanced Mermaid™ (or equivalent certification)

    • Time Commitment: 2–4 hours of PADI eLearning; full course completed in 1 day

    • Age: 10 years or older
